Canada’s top new online magazines subscription service will launch in the United States.
Magazines for $9.99 per month will go on sale in the first quarter of 2019.
In addition to its flagship titles, Magazines Unlimited will offer a selection of titles for less than $7.99.
The service will be available in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium.
In the US, it will be free to use, but users will need to be enrolled in a subscription service.
The subscription service launched in Canada earlier this month.
“We are thrilled to be launching in Canada.
We have over 500 magazines in Canada and this service will provide subscribers in Canada with access to a much broader selection of quality publications for just $9 a month,” Magazines Editor-in-Chief Scott McLean said in a statement.
The new service will not be available across all platforms, but will include magazines for $8.99, $7, $6.99 and $5.99 monthly fees.
“Magazines Unlimited is a subscription-based service that we think will help our subscribers and our community thrive in the digital age.
It will be interesting to see what other publishers in the future take a page from our publisher’s playbook,” Magazine Director of Communications Brian Ewalt said.
“The subscription model is very different from traditional advertising and advertising on traditional media platforms.
We want to be able to support a range of genres and interests through the subscription model, and we think it will allow us to support the most important magazines in our communities.”
Magazines subscribers will have access to news, features, video, podcasts, digital marketing and other content.
They will also have access on-demand content for new and existing subscribers to the service.
In a blog post, Magazine said subscribers will be able access to new features such as an RSS feed, and access to content in the form of a video playlist.
“If you subscribe to Magazines, you will be privy to new content daily and you will also be able watch new content on a variety of platforms including the Magazines app and on the Mags.com site,” it said.
Mags will be the first magazine subscription platform to launch in Canada to coincide with the launch of a national advertising campaign.
