How do you spot the hot players in your local hockey league?
With the exception of the usual suspects like Jaromir Jagr, Patrick Kane, Nicklas Lidstrom and Henrik Zetterberg, it’s hard to find a hotter name than Michael Latta.
The New York Rangers center has been consistently among the league’s most dynamic scorers in the last few seasons, averaging over 27 points per game and leading the Rangers to their first playoff berth in nine years.
Latta is currently tied for first in scoring with four points in four games and leads the league with a 1.06 goals-against average.
While Latta may not be in the MVP discussion right now, his name should be in most people’s minds for the next couple of weeks, and his continued success should make him a very popular name in the coming weeks.
